Part 1 Meta tag: Is information that is placed within the Header of your HTML document to allow Internet Search Engines like AltaVista, Hotbot, and Yahoo etc to index the document effectively. The people who want the information can find an effectively indexed document more easily. The META tag is not visible when the web page is viewed normally with a browser, but can be seen when the HTML is viewed. When a META tag is correctly inserted in the document header, the Web spider will look at the information in the tag and use this to index the.
Part 2 HTML Tutorial: I have chosen Mailto
to show, not every link on the Web leads to another Web page. Often, pages
include links that let people send email to a particular address. This
type of link is known as a mailto, and is just as easy to build as a link
to another page. To create a mailto you just do like a normal link but
you replace the address for the link with e-mail. So say your e-mail was
farmerbrown@hotmail.com the HTML would read like this if you had a mailto
link e.g.
a href="mailto:farmerbrown@hotmail.com">
farmerbrown@hotmail.com. And the page would appear like this:
farmerbrown@hotmail.com
